Township meetings are held at the municipal office located at 1441 Salford Station Road

Joint Work Session (BOS & PC)
The Joint Work session of the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission is held on the first (1st) Tuesday of the month for the purpose of reviewing strategic plans and various discussion items that may transpire. These meetings are open to the public.
Board of Supervisors (BOS)
Upper Salford Township is governed by a three-member Board of Supervisors. Each Supervisor is elected to serve a six-year term. The Board of Supervisors meet once a month on the second (2nd) Tuesday to conduct required township business. Residents are encouraged to attend these meetings to keep abreast of all current activity in Upper Salford Township. Residents are also given an opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns they may have.
Planning Commission (PC)
The five members of the Planning Commission are appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a four-year term. The Planning Commission reviews all Subdivision and Land Development (SALDO) plans for accuracy and to make sure that the plans comply with all SALDO requirements. The Planning Commission makes all recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for approval. Submission of plans for review by the Planning Commission must be filed with the Township Secretary at least 14 business days prior to the meeting. They meet the third (3rd) Tuesday of each month.
Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB)
The Zoning Hearing Board meets on the second (2nd) Monday of the month only when an application has been submitted for interpretation, special extension, and/or variance of the Township Zoning Ordinance. When an application for a zoning hearing is filed, the property in question is posted and all residents within 500 feet of the property are notified in writing of the date and time of the hearing. The ZHB conducts legally binding hearing(s) and renders final decisions on variances, conditional uses and special extensions to the Township’s Zoning Ordinance.
Park Board
The Upper Salford Township Park Board is an advisory board and consists of seven (7) members who are appointed by the BOS for a five (5) year term. The Park Board members help to organize community events, such as the Summer Concerts in the Park which are held on a Thursday in June, July and August. The Park Board meets on the fourth (4th) Tuesday of the month.
