On July 8, 2004, the Upper Salford Township Board of Supervisors adopted the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code as the building code for the Township of Upper Salford. Click here to view the Uniform Construction Code.

Please Note: Payment will be calculated during review and cost will be collected when permit is picked up. CASH OR CHECK ONLY ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT.  All Permit Application Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE! No Exceptions! 

ALL PERMIT APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE TOWNSHIP SECRETARY AND/OR ASSISTANT SECRETARY. DO NOT SEND DIRECTLY TO TECHNICON ENTERPRISES! FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A DELAY OF YOUR APPLICATION!

According to the Pennsylvania Code, a code official has (15) business days to review and grant or deny a permit application.

Fence Construction Permit Application  For fences 6 feet or less in height only. A plot plan is required.

Residential Accessory Building/Storage Shed 
Must be completed for all structures under 600 square feet only. Any structure over 600 will require a Residential Building Permit. A plot plan is required.

Agricultural Buildings Only and Ag Building UCC Permit Exemption Form
This is for a structure utilized to store farm implements, hay, feed, grain or other agricultural or horticultural products or to house poultry, livestock, or other farm animals and milk house. The term shall now include habitable space(s) in which agricultural products are processed, treated, or packaged and shall not be construed to mean a place of occupancy by the general public. A plot plan is required.

Unroofed Deck/Patio Construction
This form is restricted to structures less than 30″ above finished grade for the total structure.  Higher structures will require a Residential Building Permit. A plot plan is required.

Swimming Pools/Hot Tubs

Above/Inground Swimming Pool/Spa/Hot Tub Permit Application
Must be completed when an above/inground swimming pool, spa, and/or hot tub is proposed. A plot plan and specs must accompany the application or the application will be denied.

Subdivision/Land Development

For all Subdivision and/or Land Development questions, please refer to the Township Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance for direction and requirements. Plan submissions for the Planning Commission agenda must be made 14 business days prior to the date of the meeting. Planning Commission meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month.

Conditional Use Hearings

A Conditional Use Hearing is required when a desired use is listed as a Conditional Use in the Township Zoning Ordinance. These hearings are conducted by the Board of Supervisors. An application for a Conditional Use Hearing must be filed with the Township Secretary, along with the appropriate fee ($850.00). When an application for a Conditional Use is filed, the property in question is posted and all residents within 500 feet of the property are notified in writing of the date and time of the hearing.

*If you are submitting anything larger than ledger size (11″ x 17″) along with the conditional use hearing application and fee, 12 copies must be provided, otherwise only one copy is needed as we will make photocopies in house.

Zoning Hearings

For Interpretation, or a request for a Special Exception or Variance of the Township Zoning Ordinance, a Zoning Hearing application must be filed with the Township Secretary, along with the appropriate fee ($850.00). The hearings are conducted by the Zoning Hearing Board. When an application for a Zoning Hearing is filed, the property in question is posted and all residents within 500 feet of the property are notified in writing of the date and time of the hearing.
